The Factory NYC is a trade name of The Factory East, Inc. (“The Factory NYC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through thefactorynyc.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, contact us, apply for a job, or sign up for our newsletter, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and business details, billing or project address, information about your project, and any files you upload.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log basic technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view — to keep the Site secure and running. We use only essential cookies (for example, to keep an administrator signed in). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes;
  • provide, manage, and deliver our fabrication services;
  • communicate with you about your project or account;
  • send our newsletter or marketing emails, only where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • with third-party service providers who help us operate our business — for example, website hosting, file storage, customer-relationship management, and email delivery — who may use it only to provide those services to us;
  • when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property; and
  • in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including providing our services, maintaining business records, and meeting legal or accounting requirements — after which we delete or de-identify it.

Your choices and rights

Marketing emails. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and we use a confirmed (double) opt-in for new subscribers.

Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing studio@thefactorynyc.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not work without them.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies before sharing your information.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
